The 6th edition of the Mitrovica Summer/Winter Universities will be held between the 21st of January till the 1st of February 2013. The Mitrovica Winter University 2013 (MWU13) will bring together regional and international professors and students for a period of two weeks. We will provide 6 intensive courses in the field of political, social, medicine, environment, economic sciences, arts and information technologies.

The two-week courses are followed with cultural excursions, a recreational programme, as well as public debates on prominent issues in society. They will bring the opportunity to expand academic knowledge and skills in different fields of study, while benefiting from the latest teaching methodology and enjoying an international atmosphere.

Tuition:

Lectures and classes are tuition free for all students. Participants who study in Kosovska Mitrovicaca and in South East Europe countries (please refer to the MWU 13 Information Guide for Participants for SEE list) can apply for a scholarship, which covers accommodation and food. In addition, they will receive a one-time stipend covering their travel costs.

International students from Western Europe and beyond have to cover their travel’s costs, accommodation and food; however they will not be charged for the tuition fee. For these participants, accommodation and food is provided at a modest price for the entire duration of the MWU.

Courses:

Each demand-driven course will be taught in English by a team consisting of an international teacher, regional teacher and an assistant. After 10 teaching days, students will take the compulsory exam and get the opportunity to obtain an official Mitrovica Winter University Certificate rated by 2.5 to 4 ECTS credits.
